The Cultural Section of the Embassy, in coordination with the General Directorate of Cultural Affairs of the Argentine Foreign Ministry, has as its main objective to promote and disseminate Argentine culture in the countries under its jurisdiction. To this end, it supports exponents of the national culture in its various disciplines such as literature, music, song, dance, photography, painting, sculpture, theatre, cinema, among others.

South Programme of support to translations:
In order to promote the knowledge of works of Argentine literature and thought abroad, the Programme of Support to Translation was established to promote and strengthen the publication of these works in foreign languages.
Since its creation in 2009, PROGRAMA SUR has subsidized more than 1,472 works translated into 49 languages in 51 countries.

Argentine Book Plan:
Its main objective is the internationalization of Argentine culture through the projection of publications and their authors abroad. This strategic impulse also aims to promote the economic development and professionalization of small and medium-sized publishing houses, both in relation to the rights market and the physical book market.

Certificate of Spanish Language and Use - CELU:
This is a certificate of proficiency in Spanish as a foreign language that can be obtained by all foreigners whose first language is not Spanish and who wish to validate their ability to use this language as a second language for work and study purposes. CELU is the only examination officially recognized by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Distance Education Service (SEAD)
Provides Primary and Secondary Education to those Argentine students who are temporarily residing abroad. In this way, they are given the opportunity to continue practicing the national language, maintain the feeling of belonging to their country of origin and facilitate their reincorporation into the Argentine Education System.

Books and Houses Programme:
It is a programme of the Ministry of Culture, whose objective is to bring books to homes and democratize access to reading, contributing to the formation of critical thinking and the construction of citizenship.
