The Economic and Commercial Section has among its main objectives to strengthen the bilateral economic relation of the Argentine Republic with the countries under the jurisdiction of the Argentine Embassy in Kenya (Burundi, Comoros, Eritrea, Kenya, Madagascar, Dem. Rep. of Congo, Rwanda, Seychelles, Somalia, Tanzania and Uganda).
To this end, it works jointly and in coordination with the Undersecretariat for Trade and Investment Promotion of the Argentine Foreign Ministry, as well as with the Argentine private sector, to promote national exports and support Argentine companies in the process of internationalization, expansion and consolidation in the East African market.
Through specific trade promotion actions, the aim is to coordinate Argentina's participation in trade fairs, support the visit of Argentine companies to the region -through the preparation of business agendas-, provide commercial and economic information, among other activities.
What can we do for Argentine companies interested in increasing their presence in the East African market?
Assist them in setting up business agendas with local firms;
Analyze business intelligence information in order to assess and identify market opportunities in the countries of the jurisdiction.
What can we do for local companies interested in importing from Argentina?
Provide them with lists of Argentine suppliers and exporters for the products they are looking for;
Assist them in setting up a business agenda in Argentina with national suppliers and/or exporters;
Facilitate contact with Argentine exporters.
What can we do for companies interested in investing in Argentina?
Provide specific information on the wide variety of business sectors and geographical locations in Argentina;
Identify concrete investment opportunities in strategic sectors;
Facilitate the investment process at all stages of the project;
Simplify and facilitate the establishment of partnerships between international investors and Argentine companies.

TRADE PROMOTION
Trade promotion activities are aimed at multiplying opportunities to expand and improve Argentina's economic integration in the world, enhance the growth of the different sectors of the economy and increase exports in a sustainable manner.
The Economic and Commercial Section of the Embassy works to:
Disseminate Argentina's exportable offer among importers and potential local buyers.
Search and evaluate the demand for Argentine products and upload them on the Argentina Trade Net Portal, for their dissemination.
Organize Argentina's participation in international fairs that take place in the jurisdiction.
Organize and prepare Argentine business trade missions visiting the country and reverse trade missions visiting Argentina.
Organize seminars, conferences, Argentine weeks, tastings, among others, aimed at promoting the image of our country abroad and contributing to trade promotion.
Prepare profiles and market studies.
Answer commercial enquiries from Argentine companies and organizations, as well as from local and/or regional companies and entities, regarding Argentine products and services.
Prepare economic reports.
Visit companies, chambers and official bodies to disseminate Argentina's exportable offer and keep information on market access conditions up to date.
Participate in meetings of international economic and trade organizations.

Argentina TradeNet's directory of exporters: This catalogue of Argentine companies contains information on exporting firms, including their contact details and the products they offer for sale abroad.
In order to obtain information on the conditions of entry of the different products that make up Argentina's exportable offer, it is necessary to know the tariff position. To do so, you can consult the Argentine Integrated Tariff published by the AFIP, through the portal argentinatradenet.gov.ar of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
