The 2025 call for applications for the SUR Translation Support Program is now open. The program promotes the translation of works by Argentine authors into foreign languages.

This year, priority will be given to works in Social Sciences and Humanities (such as essays, literary criticism, philosophy, and cultural sociology), poetry, graphic novels, and chronicles.

While all languages and publishing markets will be considered, preference will be given to applications involving translations into Hindi, Arabic, Chinese, and Southeast Asian languages.

Eligible works may be included in the catalogs promoted by the Directorate of Cultural Affairs ("Argentina Key Titles" and "Bibliodiversa"), or be other works by classic or contemporary Argentine authors whose themes reflect the national identity.

The deadline for submitting applications is August 22, 2025.

To date, the SUR Program has supported the translation of 1,735 works into 53 languages, across 58 countries.
