The second phase of the regional triangular cooperation project, "Strengthening capacity-building to improve the livestock systems of smallholder farming and contribute to agrifood sustainability in Kenya and Tanzania," was launched November 11, 2024, at the Argentine Residence.
Ambassador Luis Levit welcomed a distinguished delegation of experts from Kenya, Tanzania, and Argentina, joined by representatives from the German Cooperation Agency (GIZ) and officials from Kenya’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development.
During the working breakfast, Ambassador Levit highlighted the impact of this South-South cooperation initiative, whose ambitious program includes field visits, workshops, and training sessions. This second mission builds on a successful first phase held in March 2024 in Argentina, where delegations from Kenya and Tanzania visited INTA’s agricultural research stations.
The Ambassador emphasized the exemplary collaboration among key institutions, including Argentina’s INTA, Kenya’s KALRO, Tanzania’s TALIRI, and GIZ, underscoring how this partnership strengthens food security and sustainable livestock production while reinforcing bilateral ties.
