First phase of the Triangular Cooperation Project with Kenya and Tanzania concludes

We are pleased to announce the successful conclusion of the first phase of the Triangular Project aimed at Strengthening Capacity in the Livestock Systems of Smallholder Farmers and Contributing to Agrifood Sustainability in Kenya and Tanzania.

From March 11th to 15th, 2024, technical teams and officials from Kenya and Tanzania visited livestock establishments of the National Institute of Agricultural Technology (INTA) in the provinces of Santiago del Estero (Quimilí) and La Rioja (Chepes and El Zampal), where they exchanged knowledge and technological experiences in livestock management.

Kenya's National Director of Livestock, Halima Nenkari, the representative of Kenya's Agricultural and Livestock Research Organization (KALRO), Bosko Kidake, as well as researchers from Tanzania's Livestock Research Institute (TALIRI), Dr. Hassan Mrutu and Prof. Erick Vitus Komba, participated in this mission.

The closure of this stage took place on Saturday, March 16th, 2024, with a meeting at the National Directorate of International Cooperation, chaired by his Director, Mateo Estrémé, and official Andrés Lagarde. On this occasion, the importance of Kenya and Tanzania for Argentine cooperation was highlighted, and potential areas for future collaboration were explored.
