Tourism Promotion

According to the World Tourism Organization (WTO), tourism has become one of the main economic activities and a sector of sustained growth in terms of foreign exchange earnings, stimulus for investments in infrastructure and job creation.

For the Republic of Argentina, the income derived from international tourism has placed this activity as one of the five leading sectors for the export of goods and services.

For this reason, and in order to optimize the promotion of Argentina's tourism offer in foreign markets, cooperation mechanisms have been implemented between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Tourism. This cooperation is made operational through the coordination between the National Institute for Tourism Promotion (InProTur), the Directorate for Tourism Support and Investment Promotion and the Diplomatic and Consular Representations abroad.

  • Coordinate with InProTur the actions for the promotion of tourism abroad.
  • Coordinate with the Argentinean Representations the formulation of tourism promotion actions.
  • Supporting tourism promotion activities carried out by the National Institute for Tourism Promotion (InProTur).

  • To prepare reports on the characteristics of the market.
  • Establish contact with tour operators.
  • Organize seminars and workshops.
  • Participate in fairs and exhibitions.
